Twine Together: A Seniors Week Special Event (SOLD OUT)
Tuesday 7 February, 12.30pm – 4pm

Macarthur’s over 55s are invited to join Campbelltown Arts Centre, the Elders Ceramics group and the Yirran Miigaydhu weavers for a lively afternoon of art, discussion and scones.

Enjoy a tour of Karla Dickens’ ‘Embracing Shadows’ – the premiere survey exhibition by Lismore-based Wiradjuri artist Karla Dickens.

Explore the relationships between family, friendships and generational change through art in a free art workshop inspired by the work of Karla Dickens. Facilitated by local artists Aunty Annette Houston, Aunty Michelle Hailes and Natalie Valiente.

Enjoy learning twine-weaving techniques and ceramic hand-building while discussing art practice . You’ll be guided through the process of creating woven figures and ceramic masks that represent your connection to self and your community.

Complimentary tea, coffee, juice, fruit and scones will be available, thanks to the Art Centre Café.

All workshops start on the hour. Limited tickets available. Call front of house on 4645 4100 for bookings and enquiries, or book via the link below.
