Campbelltown Arts Centre presents ‘Movement, Movement’, a one day discussion for the NSW contemporary dance sector.
Launched in 2019 Movement, Movement is an annual platform for artists to express what they want from the contemporary dance sector. Thinking about relationships between artists, organisations and the broader public, the event aims to bring independent practitioners with a choreographic practice together in order to improve and grow dance connections in NSW.
On Wednesday 23 August, C-A-C invites Olivia Ansell, Agnès Michelet, Jasmin Sheppard, Erin Brannigan, Martin del Amo, Rhiannon Newton, Miranda Wheen and Vicki Van Hout to share, provoke and facilitate conversations in an inclusive environment.
The fourth iteration of this event is an opportunity for everyone to gather and discuss the pressing questions faced by the NSW dance sector. This year, we are excited to invite artists and arts workers to come together for a morning of connection, consultation, and engagement. The afternoon session will be exclusively reserved for artists, to continue the important conversations generated in the morning session.
This event is open to:
– Emerging and professional choreographers with a NSW-based practice
– Emerging and professional dance artists with a NSW-based practice
– NSW dance Executives/Directors, Artistic Directors, Producers, Arts Workers
