Sunday 6 November 2022, 11am – 3pm
In celebration of Campbelltown City Council’s sister-city relationship with Koshigaya, Japan and the local Fisher’s Kids events, Campbelltown Arts Centre will be hosting a free Kazoku Japanese cultural event. ‘Kazoku’, meaning ‘family’ in Japanese, will see the entire Arts Centre overflowing with family-friendly performances and workshops.
Adventure awaits! It all starts with the rhythmic bang of Wadaiko Rindo live drumming for the opening celebration, followed by traditional Okinawa Island folk dance and an age-old contest between samurai and ninja! Who will win?
Looking for something a bit more relaxing? Bask in the tranquility of the Japanese Gardens by taking part in a shortened version of a traditional tea ceremony.
The excitement doesn’t end there, with drumming, dancing and Samurai Action workshops.
