Education Offerings
Campbelltown Arts Centre offers a range of dynamic and engaging school excursions. We offer everything from guided tours of our current exhibition to hands-on creative workshops for all ages with professional artists.
Below is a sample of the excursions we offer.
Excursion Packages
All prices listed are inclusive of GST
Self-Guided Tour of the Exhibition
Ages: K – 12 & Tertiary
Duration: 1 hour
Cost: Free for up to 50 students
Numbers: Groups of up to 25 students
(max 2 groups in one session time)

Guided Tour of the Exhibition
Guided tours of the current exhibition by one of our friendly C-A-C Educators providing students with an in-depth exploration into the artist/s works and practice.
Ages: K – 12 & Tertiary
Duration: 1 hour
Cost: $5 per student
(min of 20 students – group fee of $100 for less than 20 students)
Numbers: Groups of up to 25 students
(maximum 2 groups in one session time)

Hands-On Guided Exhibition Tour
Enjoy a guided gallery experience with our C-A-C Educators, inviting students to explore the current exhibition and respond to artworks through hands-on, movement and group-based activities.
Ages: K-12
Cost: $10 per student
(minimum of 20 students – group fee of $200 for less than 20 students)
Duration: 2 hours
Numbers: Groups of up to 25 students
(maximum 2 groups in one session time)

Extended Gallery Tour Excursion Options
Half Day Visit
Guided tour of either the current exhibition, sculpture garden or Japanese garden and 1 x art making workshop
Ages: K – 12
Duration: 3 hours
Cost: $15 per student
(minimum of 20 students – group fee of $300 for less than 20 students)
Numbers: Groups of up to 25 students
(maximum 3 groups per visit)
Full Day Visit
Hands on guided tour of either the current exhibition, sculpture garden or Japanese garden and 2 x artmaking workshops
Ages: K – 12
Duration: 5 hours
Cost: $20 per student
(minimum of 20 students – group fee of $400 for less than 20 students)
Numbers: Groups of up to 25 students
(maximum 3 groups per visit)
Hands-On Guided Tour and Japanese Garden Tour
Hands-on guided tour of the current exhibition with an art making tour of the Japanese Garden. Allowing students to learn about the cultural symbolism and significance of the natural and man-made elements within the garden and explore these through guided drawing activities.

Hands-On Guided Tour and Sculpture Garden Tour
Hands-on guided tour of the current exhibition and a tour of the Sculpture Garden exploring and learning about the permanent sculptures that form part of the C-A-C collection. Students will also have the opportunity to create mini sculptural works.

Duration: 3 hours
Cost: $15 per student

Excursion Artmaking Workshop Offerings
As part of our extended excursion packages, we offer a range of workshop options inspired by the work of the artist/s in the current exhibition. Workshop options will be released prior to each exhibition date but may include workshops in a wide range of media and subject matter including painting, drawing, sculpture, assemblage, mixed media, collage, ceramics, weaving and more.
HSC Tailored Excursions
Join C-A-C’s Education Officer Celeste Wrona and our CAC educators for an in-depth critical analysis of works in the gallery, tailored for preliminary and HSC Visual Arts students. Take part in a gallery tour that will guide students through the artist’s works, their practice and concepts through the lens of the frames and conceptual framework.
Half Day Visit
Guided critical analysis tour and 1 x art making OR 1 x art study workshop
Ages: Years 11– 12
Duration: 3 hours
Cost: $15 per student
(minimum of 20 students – group fee of $300 for less than 20 students)
Numbers: Up to 40 students
(2 groups of 20 students)
Full Day Visit
Guided critical analysis tour and 1 x art making AND 1 x art study workshop
Ages: Years 11– 12
Duration: 5 hours
Cost: $20 per student
(minimum of 20 students – group fee of $400 for less than 20 students)
Numbers: Up to 40 students
(2 groups of 20 students)
Workshop Options:
Extended Response – exploring short answer questions and essay writing based on works in the exhibition
Making intensive – with a focus on the artist’s process and techniques
(see workshop options on following pages)
Curator for a day – connecting with the gallery curators to gain an understanding of the process and complexities of curating and designing an exhibition
Japanese Culture
Sketching tour of Japanese gardens, with practical workshop options including Japanese tea ceremony, calligraphy, koi fish puppets, origami and ceramics.
Half Day Visit
Sketching tour of Japanese garden and 1 x practical workshop
Ages: K – 12
Duration: 3 hours

Options: These workshops can be combined with exhibition tour and/or visual arts workshops upon request.

Tour of Queen Street Public Artworks
Enjoy a walking tour of the public artworks in the Queen Street, Campbelltown precinct. Featuring acclaimed artists including Savanhdary Vongpoothorn, Danielle Mate, Jason Wing, Victoria Garcia and Bayvick Lawrance, Feras Shaheen and Luke Tekn. With strong connections to South West Sydney, these public art installations are iconic, one-of-a-kind spaces that speak to the values of the Campbelltown community by telling stories of diversity, resilience and connection. Experience as a free self-guided tour or book an educator led tour with one of our C-A-C educators to explore these works in depth.
