In Term 3 2020, Campbelltown Arts Centre will release a specially developed resource pack for partnering local primary schools, for full year groups to learn from contemporary artists.
We are excited and grateful to work with First Nations artists Merindah Funnell, Ethan Bell and Jye Uren with support from Elders Aunty Kay Bussell, Aunty Susan Murphy and Aunty Christine Carriage.
The pack includes art materials for individual students and printed booklet with three creative workshops in dance, poetry and visual arts – to be undertaken as part of regular studies at school or home, and facilitated by classroom teachers. Each program is written by a First Nations artist, drawing inspiration from conversations with local Elders and integrating other key learning areas and cross curriculum outcomes.
This resource is available to a limited number of students from partnering primary schools, but please get in touch if your school is interested in getting involved.
