Booking Form: Burra Bumal In-School Dance Workshops

Students: Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander students in Years 7 – 12 
Capacity: 5 – 20 students per workshop, up to 2 workshops per school

NAISDA and C-A-C are pleased to present our annual in-school dance workshops and mentorship for Burra Bumal 2024, nurturing professional dance pathways and cultural knowledge for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people.  

Local and Western Sydney high schools are invited to register now for free Term 2 in-school workshops in contemporary Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander dance, providing an introduction to the style and lead-in for those considering applying for the 2023 mentorship. 

Bookings close Friday 5 April 2024 (unless booked out).

I acknowledge and am able arrange the following requirements for the workshop:

A staff member must be present to supervise throughout the workshop. Workshops will be cancelled if at least one staff member is not fully available to supervise*
To get the most out of this workshop, supervising staff members should be familiar with students and willing to engage with the workshop.*
A hall, gym or performing arts room must be booked. Workshop requires wooden floors & no furniture.*
Optional: music equipment (eg. Speaker with Bluetooth or aux cord) If available, please set-up prior to workshop
Students and relevant teachers should be briefed on the program and aware of their participation ahead of the day*
Students should bring a water bottle and wear comfortable clothes for dancing and physical exercise*
If the number of students participating in the workshop changes, I will notify C-A-C immediately*
This is a free program. Cancellation charges of $100 apply for bookings cancelled less than 14 days before your workshop (excluding public health requirements or concerns due to Covid-19). In the event of public health restrictions, we will avoid cancellations and aim to reschedule or adapt this workshop for online learning and artist engagement.*
PERMISSION TO TAKE PHOTOS / COLLECT AND PUBLISH FEEDBACK

Campbelltown City Council c/- Campbelltown Arts Centre seeks permission to use photographs and/or video of your group while participating in this program, to be used as outlined below:

  • Recordings and images taken may be edited and used to publicise and promote Campbelltown Arts Centre, or as part of reporting requirements for funding.
  • Such use includes the display, distribution, publication, transmission, or otherwise use of photographs, images, and/or video taken of your group for use in materials that include, but may not be limited to, printed materials such as brochures and newsletters, videos, and digital images such as those on the Campbelltown City Council and Campbelltown Arts Centre website, partners’ websites and on social media outlets including Facebook and Instagram.
